Azimuth Expands Line with Laptop Test Solution for Award Winning W-Series Wireless Testing Platform.

ACTON, Mass. -- New Product Integrates Testing of Laptop PCs with Embedded Wireless Capabilities into Industry's Leading Test Solution

Azimuth Systems, Inc., innovators in scalable, automated wireless network test systems, today announced its W-Series Wireless Laptop Test Solution that allows the performance and scalability of laptop PCs with embedded wireless communications to be automatically validated efficiently and cost-effectively.

The laptop test solution extends the Azimuth W-Series, the industry's first Wireless LAN testing platform, by incorporating standard, off-the-shelf laptops with embedded Wi-Fi into the standard testing process. The key components of the solution provide important insight into the behavior and performance of laptops in the wireless network.

The Azimuth Wireless Laptop Test Solution consists of two major components: the Wireless Standalone Client, which allows full remote control of the laptop and its traffic and the Laptop Test Head, a compact isolation chamber which allows the laptop to be included as a component in the isolated test environment. Used in concert with Azimuth's W-Series test platform, the laptop test solution allows vendors to validate client rate vs. range, Wi-Fi compliance and interoperability, roaming efficiency, performance and throughput, and security.

The Azimuth W-Series is the first industry standard test platform for system level testing of 802.11 wireless access points, clients, and other devices. Designed from the ground up as an off-the-shelf, wireless LAN test platform, W-Series systems provide the ability to configure an entire WLAN network in a bench top chassis designed for complete Radio Frequency (RF) isolation and control.
