Azimuth Enters Korean Market Through Distribution Agreement with Tricomtek.

ACTON, Mass. -- Leading Provider of Performance Testing Performance Testing covers a broad range of engineering or functional evaluations where a material, product, or system is not specified by detailed material or component specifications: Rather, emphasis is on the final measurable performance characteristics.  Solutions to Become an Authorized Reseller of Azimuth's W-Series 802.11 Test Platform

Azimuth azimuth (ăz`əməth), in astronomy, one coordinate in the altazimuth coordinate system. It is the angular distance of a body measured westward along the celestial horizon from the observer's south point.  Systems, Inc., innovators in scalable, automated wireless network test systems, today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Seoul, Korea-based Tricomtek, a provider of performance test solutions, protocol testing and wireless protocol servers for wireless applications and enhanced wireless messaging solutions. With the agreement, Azimuth expands its position as a worldwide provider of wireless network testing and performance validation solutions to Korea, a country that has significant presence in the wireless world and is home to multiple leading companies focusing on Wi-Fi technology.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tricomtek will become the South Korean reseller for Azimuth's award-winning W-Series 802.11 WLAN See wireless LAN.

The tests are designed in such a way that the "questions, conditions for administering, scoring procedures, and interpretations are consistent" [1]  platform for system level testing of 802.11 wireless access points, clients and other devices. The W-Series sets the standard for wireless data test solutions by allowing system and semiconductor vendors to provide their customers with higher quality products in a shorter time-to-market.

"Wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  companies throughout the world have struggled to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of wireless network testing," said SangKu Lee, president of Tricomtek. "The W-Series is a proven testing method that guarantees reliable, repeatable test results, and we are delighted to enter this strategic agreement with Azimuth to provide Tricomtek's customers with unprecedented abilities to efficiently accomplish performance, interoperability and certification testing of Wi-Fi products."

"Tricomtek is widely recognized in South Korea for its commitment to both customers and the wireless industry as a whole, and we are honored to have been named as their partner in providing wireless test solutions," said C.J Meurell, vice president of worldwide sales and business development of Azimuth. "Wireless accessibility, performance and credibility are worldwide issues. By addressing wireless testing globally - particularly in the Korean market - Azimuth is showing leadership to Asian markets, as well as to the rest of the world."

The Azimuth W-Series is the industry's first standardized test platform for system level testing of 802.11 wireless access points, clients and other devices. Designed from the ground up as an off-the-shelf, wireless LAN test platform, W-Series systems provide the ability to configure an entire WLAN network in a bench top chassis designed for complete Radio Frequency (RF) isolation and control. The flexibility and programmability of the W-Series allows for the thorough evaluation of wireless LAN equipment under varying mobility conditions and traffic patterns, as well as precise analysis of the results. The system offers an ideal environment to perform software design validation and to test advanced wireless functionality and performance including the latest IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields.  standards.
