Azanda adds VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing

Azanda Network Devices, a pioneer in silicon-based optical networking switch solutions for metropolitan area networks, today announced the appointment of Greg Wolfson to the position of vice president of marketing, and Steven Eliscu to the position of director of marketing.

Greg Wolfson brings 15 years of marketing management and engineering experience to Azanda. Prior to joining Azanda, Greg was product line manger for Broadcom's Switch Products Business and the industry leading StrataSwitch(TM) product, for which he secured more than 50 customer design wins, including all major network switch vendors. Prior to this, he was the switch product line manager at Intel's Network Products Division, where he was responsible for the Intel Express Fast and Gigabit Ethernet Switch system product lines and successfully orchestrated their international product launch campaigns.

Greg has also held managerial positions at Thinking Tools Inc. and Maxis Business Solutions. He received his MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and his BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Azanda, Steven was director of business development at Point Reyes Networks and brings to Azanda the depth of systems and network architecture knowledge required to build a successful system-oriented semiconductor company. Prior to that, Steven held senior level positions in a number of divisions of IDT, including the Network Products and Static RAM Divisions. In those roles, Steven led IDT's successful entry into the packet classification business with its IP Co-processor for Cisco Systems and drove the definition of the SRAMs that are used in conjunction with the leading edge traffic management devices. He received his bachelor of science degree in computer and systems engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
