Azaire Networks Introduces New IP-CNP with eXtended Mobility.

IP-CNP with XM[TM] Enables Operators to Deliver Rich Voice, Data, Multi-Media Services Over Multiple Access Networks

SANTA CLARA Santa Clara, city, Cuba
Santa Clara (sän`tä klä`rä), city (1994 est. pop. 217,000), capital of Villa Clara prov., central Cuba.
, Calif. -- Azaire Networks Inc., the leading provider of multi-access network solutions, announced today the availability of its new IP Converged Network The integration of the telephone system with IP-based data networks. See softswitch.

(networking) converged network - A single network that can carry voice, video and data.
Platform with eXtended Mobility (IP-CNP with XM[TM]), enabling delivery of enhanced IMS/SIP voice services over both WiFi and cellular access networks. The new solution is fully compliant with 3GPP's TS 23.206 voice call continuity (VCC An electronics designation that refers to voltage from a power supply connected to the "collector" terminal of a bipolar transistor. In an NPN bipolar (BJT) transistor, it would be +Vcc, while in a PNP transistor, it would be -Vcc. ) standard. Azaire Network's customers now have the ability to offer a complete range of rich voice, data and IMS (1) See IP Multimedia Subsystem.

services across existing cellular networks and new broadband IP wireless access networks.

Seamless Delivery of "All Services Everywhere"

Azaire Network's new IP-CNP with XM[TM] fulfills the mobile user's need to access subscribed services in a seamless manner whether at home, at the office or on the road. Additionally, operators can cost effectively deliver a combination of existing "voice and data" services in conjunction with new, rich VoIP and multi-media services. The new IP-CNP with XM[TM] leverages the SIP-based IMS architecture to extend operators' existing voice services over WiFi access. It also delivers new SIP-based applications such as instant messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or  (IM), presence, push-to-talk, video sharing See video sharing site.  over the same access network. Delivery of rich interactive applications over WiFi and cellular networks in combination with data services like push e-mail and broadband streaming video downloads/uploads, mobile TV and music downloads, ensures that users can experience "All Services Everywhere."

New Network Component for IP-CNP

The IP-CNP with XM[TM] solution includes the Voice Call Continuity - Service Control Node (SCN-VCC 5000). Key features of this element are:

* Plug and play compatibility with existing core networks - The SCN-VCC 5000 benefits operators by providing the flexibility of operation as either a standalone server or as an IMS Application Server. In both these deployment modes, the SCN-VCC 500 works with 3GPP GPP Government Performance Project
GPP General Purpose Processor
GPP General Physical Preparedness
GPP Gambian People's Party
GPP Good Pharmacy Practice
GPP Gross Primary Productivity
GPP Green Procurement Program
GPP Generic Packetized Protocol
 VCC and IMS compatible handsets.

* Seamless handover n. 1. The act of relinquishing property or authority etc. to another; as, the handover of occupied territory to the original posssessors; the handover of power from the military back to the civilian authorities s>.  of voice sessions from WLAN See wireless LAN.

WLAN - wireless local area network
to cellular and from cellular to WLAN - The SCN-VCC 5000 seamlessly switches the call from WiFi to cellular in addition to the more complex cellular to WiFi handoff.

* Full compatibility with 3GPP VCC architecture for centralized supplementary services - The SCN-VCC 5000 provides subscriber access to enriched SIP supplementary services independent of using the WLAN at their work/home location or on the cellular network.

* Integration into existing call routing framework - Enables users to benefit from VCC services without requiring a change in a user's mobile phone number.

"Operators and service providers are upgrading their networks to meet the demand for advanced mobile voice and broadband services, ranging from one number/one device on the voice side, to the ability to download multimedia video content on the data side," said Richard Webb, Directing Analyst for Wireless at Infonetics Research. "Azaire Network's IP-CNP with XM provides mobile operators with a flexible solution that is non-intrusive to the operator's core network. This solution integrates the existing voice network with advanced SIP-based voice using 3GPP's VCC standard. It also provides broadband data services that integrate indoor WLAN networks with new macro 3G/HSDPA networks using the 3GPP IWLAN IWLAN Interworking Wlan  standard to enable operators to offer all services everywhere."

The IP-CNP with XM[TM] solution is a complete, standards-compliant solution based on 3GPP IWLAN and VCC standards. 3GPP IWLAN functionality implements the highest level of security based on EAP-SIM/EAP-AKA and IPsec/IKEv2 and provides access to existing and new mobile packet mode services. VCC enables handover between WLAN packet access and macro circuit-switched cellular networks.

The IP-CNP with XM[TM] is the most flexible and comprehensive FMC See fixed mobile convergence.  solution available on the market. Operators can take advantage of the building blocks provided by the IP-CNP with XM[TM] solution to incorporate multiple FMC standard technologies such as I-WLAN and VCC. In addition, it provides the baseline security framework for UMA (1) (Unlicensed Mobile Access) See GAN.

(2) (Upper Memory Area) Memory in a PC between 640K and 1M. More relevant in the days of DOS, this region was broken into Upper Memory Blocks (UMB) reserved for video memory and other

"The rapid spread of dual mode phones, the fast adoption of SIP-based VoIP and the tsunami of video content both business users and consumers are downloading today points to a burgeoning market interest for 'all services everywhere,' including voice, data and shortly IMS applications," said Bill Howe, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Azaire Networks. "Operators can meet this market need quickly and with minimal network investment with the new IP-CNP with XM[TM] platform."
