Ayurveda ? the Magical Science


Ayurveda is the essence of old Hindu Medicare techniques, which are based on the curing the diseases from the roots. In Ayurveda, whole body is supposed as a mutually responding system. A single part not responding well may cause a disturbance in all body. Ayurveda works for the aim of complete health.

Ayurveda retreats in India to take advantage of a form of holistic medicine that is the oldest in the world (dating back over 5,000 years) and has had an influence on many other cultures outside of India having influenced Chinese and Greek medicine among others.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word meaning: ayu-life; veda-knowledge of); the knowledge of life and with this knowledge the aim of Ayurvedic medicine is to keep a healthy person healthy and to cure any illnesses and health problems they encounter.Ayurveda therefore aims to remove the cause of disease and illness and re-establishes balance to the body.

Key points of Ayurveda treatments are:

It looks at everyone as an individual and not just as a mass generic group.

It heals from the cause of an illness and does not just aim to treat its symptoms.

It is well tasted and well proven in the history of India that is one of the worlds oldest cultures, In modern age, when pollution and effects of intoxications are disturbing the systems of the body and a normal human is getting weaker due to luxurious life; Ayurveda, along with yoga and exercises is the way to have a healthy body and a sound mind.

Ayurveda thought an observatory science, also bears a deep scientific explanation of all the procedures and suggestions that are mentioned by it. Medical sciences are getting surprised with the results they are getting today after the extensive researches to prove the worth of ayurveda. It is quite astonishing that those sages carried out such a deep studies about our body and functioning of various organs of our body without having any facilities and sophisticated instruments to aid there searches. They applied the basic fundamentals of vata, pitta and kapha and the five mahabhoota concept to carry out there research.

Ayurveda often goes hand in hand with another popular Indian technique, the yoga. Ayurvedic physicians often prescribe asanas of yoga to supplement their herbal remedies. Ayurveda also believes in several massage therapies using different kinds of oils. Aromatherapy, though a different science in itself, can be considered to be a subset of the Ayurvedic techniques. Ayurveda believes that massage can canalize the toxins to their proper destinations in the body from where they can be eliminated. In this manner, the body remains free from residual toxic substances.

There are innumerable Ayurveda Resorts in Kerala which offer health and fitness programs based on Ayurvedic oil massages and therapies. These massages rejuvenate the whole body system and cure various ailments besides enabling general fitness. Some of the famous Ayurveda treatments offered in these centers include Panchakarma, Sweat Treatments, Oil Massage, Purwakarma, Samana, Yoga & Meditation.
