Ayrex Announces That Seven Wells Have Been Drilled On Its Joint Venture Project In China.TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 1997--Ayrex Resources Ltd. ("Ayrex") reports that seven (7) wells have been drilled on its joint venture project near Jingbian, China, about 550 miles southwest of Beijing. Of the seven (7) wells drilled, five appear to have potentially producible oil zones measuring up to 60 feet in thickness. One well is still in question as to producability and another is believed to have no producible zones. Testing of the zones has been slow due to a shortage of service rigs. However, in the last few days, the project has been able to secure three service rigs which is expected to speed up the testing process.
