Under the terms of the agreement, Axolotl will provide its Elysium Clinical Messaging System to link healthcare and social service providers in Monterey County, CA and integrate physician services including results delivery, workflow processing, referrals and on-line access to medication lists.

Natividad Medical Center is applying Federal funding provided for Community Access Programs (CAP) under the Health Services and Resources Administration, Department of Health and Human Services to address the need for coordinated and integrated services for the uninsured and underinsured population in Monterey County. Along with Natividad Medical Center, other members collaborating on the project include La Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas, the Monterey County Public Health Department, Rotacare (serving the homeless), Monterey County Public Health Department, Monterey County Behavioral Health Department, the NIDO clinic (serving HIV/AIDS patients), and the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program (BCEDP).
