Axis Technologies Ballast Installed at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Axis Technologies Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AXTG) Dimming/Daylight Harvesting (DDH) ballasts have been installed at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Axis has also installed new ballasts at the Muscatine, IA High School.

These installations came about through Axis Technologies initiative to campaign schools and universities in Iowa, in conjunction with their representative, NRG Sales, to further these schools efforts to become more "green" with energy savings. Axis is campaigning schools nationwide through their representative network, as more and more educational facilities nationwide are being mandated to save energy.

"The Axis ballasts can deliver up to 70% lighting energy savings, while maintaining or even enhancing the learning environment by providing the optimum light levels needed," said Kip Hirschbach, CEO of Axis Technologies.

The Axis DDH ballast incorporates a patented dipswitch that allows fixed-level dimming in 10% increments from 100% of output to 40% output, with a corresponding reduction in electrical energy. This means the fixture can be "tuned" to the light level desired, or to reduce "overlit" conditions. Further, a patented photocell attached to each ballast measures sunlight coming through windows or skylights and dims the fixture to as much as an 80% lighting reduction. This is all totally automatic and is unnoticed by building occupants.
