Axioma Names Olivier d'Assier to Lead Expansion in Asia Pacific.

 industry, today announced the appointment of Olivier d'Assier as President of Axioma Asia, headquartered in Singapore.

"Olivier will lead Axioma's expansion in Asia Pacific," said Dr. Sebastian Ceria, Chief Executive Officer of Axioma. "He brings a wealth of business development capability to our company, along with years of experience in the Asia Pacific markets that Axioma is targeting. And his customer-centric philosophy is an excellent fit with Axioma's strategic and operational approach."

d'Assier was previously President of Barra Japan and Executive Director of MSCI Barra MSCI Barra is a leading provider of equity, fixed income, and hedge fund indices. In 2004 Morgan Stanley Capital International acquired Barra, Inc., to form MSCI Barra. The company is headquartered in New York City, with operations in Geneva, London, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Paris,  for Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the strategic and commercial business development in that region, overseeing the operation of the firm's Tokyo, Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  and Sydney offices.
