Axiom Biotechnologies appoints Sunny N. Stewart vice president, strategic development.

Management of privately held Axiom Biotechnologies Inc. Thursday announced that the company has appointed Sunny N. Stewart, M.B.A., J.D., as the company's vice president, strategic development.

The former Genentech analyst/manager will be responsible for securing private investment capital, negotiating Axiom's strategic corporate partnership agreements and overseeing the expansion of the company's intellectual property portfolio.

"Sunny's experience with Genentech as it grew from a mid-sized research organization to a multibillion-dollar pharmaceutical company will provide us with invaluable expertise as Axiom continues to grow its revenue base and secure additional corporate partnerships," said Pandi Veerapandian, Ph.D., president and chief scientific officer.
