SAN DIEGO -- Axesstel Receives Purchase Orders for Fixed Wireless Phones and Broadband Modems and Begins Shipments

Axesstel, Inc. (AMEX:AFT), a leader in the design and development of fixed wireless voice and broadband data products, and Compania Anonima Nacional Telefonos de Venezuela (Cantv) (NYSE:VNT), the largest private telecommunications service provider in Venezuela, today announced they are continuing working together to make affordable voice and broadband data solutions available to consumers and businesses in Venezuela. Cantv has placed new purchase orders for Axesstel D800 CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Fixed Wireless Broadband Modems and new L800 Fixed Wireless Phones based on CDMA2000 1X. The fixed wireless devices will be offered in conjunction with Cantv's nationwide network expansion to broaden the access to affordable high quality voice and broadband data service. Axesstel has begun shipping all products.

The D800 modem allows Cantv to make broadband data services available to businesses and enterprises. This model is currently available through Cantv stores and its network of authorized dealers nationwide. The L800 wireless fixed phone is offered in conjunction with Cantv's nationwide network expansion to broaden the access to affordable voice calling from the home. The L800 was launched successfully through the same channels during the Mother's Day promotion, May 14, 2006 with sales of more than 35,000 to date.
