Axesstel Announces Sleek New Portable EV-DO Rev A USB Modems for Home and Travel Use.

Pocket-Sized MV100 Series USB Modems Enable Operators to Attract Data Subscribers and Increase ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) A calculation often used to determine the overall value of an application. It is also used to rate particular customers, especially in the wireless space, by comparing someone's account to the overall average.

:AFT), a leader in the design and development of fixed wireless voice and broadband data products, today announced the MV100 Series of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) A method for transmitting simultaneous signals over a shared portion of the spectrum. The foremost application of CDMA is the digital cellular phone technology from QUALCOMM that operates in the 800 MHz band and 1.9 GHz PCS band. 2000 1xEV-DO Rev A USB Modems at ITU (International Telecommunication Union, Geneva, Switzerland, www.itu.ch) A telecommunications standards body that is under the auspices of the United Nations. Comprising more than 185 member countries, the ITU sets standards for global telecom networks.  Telecom World. Small enough to carry in a pocket, the sleek new MV100 series USB modems provide consumers and mobile professionals with fixed wireless and mobile access to email, the Internet and multimedia streaming at speeds up to 3.1 Mbps. The versatile USB modem allows fixed wireless and mobile operators to increase average revenue per unit (ARPU) from data services by attracting subscribers needing broadband data access from home and while traveling. Axesstel will be exhibiting the MV100 series at ITU Telecom World being held in Hong Kong from December 4 - 8, 2006.

"We are very excited to announce our entree into the mobile market with the cleverly engineered MV100 series USB modems," said Marv Tseu, chief executive officer for Axesstel, Inc. "We see strong demand from operators for a versatile device that provides fixed and mobile broadband Description

data access for consumer, small office/home office See SOHO.  and mobile professional segments. The MV100 series addresses this demand and allows operators to increase ARPU while more fully leveraging the speed and capacity advantage of their broadband data networks."

"The new USB modem will enable us to diversify our broadband product portfolio to better serve our current customer base in emerging markets and expand our ability to serve operators in developed regions," added Tseu.

The MV100 series USB modems, including the MV110 (450 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. ) and MV140 (800/1900 MHz), address the demand from fixed wireless and mobile carriers for a terminal device that provides the flexibility of voice and broadband data access from a fixed or mobile environment. The MV100 series modems are designed with a USB USB

to CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev 0 and CDMA2000 1X to ensure subscribers maintain high-speed connectivity in areas where a CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A network is not yet available. The dual-band (800/1900 MHz) functionality of the MV140 allows users to connect to networks worldwide. A USB cable, packaged with the device, allows users to position the modem away from the noisiness of the laptop to increase transmission gain, a performance not possible with dongle-type USB modems. An internal battery and receive diversity antennas further maximize data throughput and extend network coverage range from fringe areas. These design advantages allow operators to provide a better user experience and increase the number of subscribers that can be served by their network.

Additional features of the Axesstel MV100 Series USB Modems include:

* Voice and text messaging Sending short messages to a smartphone, pager, PDA or other handheld device. Text messaging implies sending short messages generally no more than a couple of hundred characters in length.  capability when connected to a laptop or desktop PC

* Personal information management functionality and synchronization with MS Outlook([R]) phonebook simplifies communications

* Compatibility with virtual private networks secures data transmissions

* Slim and compact design fits into a jacket pocket or brief case for easy portability

* Color LCD enables quick viewing of network coverage status without having to open modem manager software from the laptop

The MV140 is scheduled to be available for operator testing by the end of January; limited shipments are anticipated to be available at the end of February, with quantity volumes of the first models in the series in early April.

NOTES FOR EDITORS AND ANALYSTS

Senior Axesstel executives will be available at ITU Telecom World to offer comment on:

* Global market demand for fixed and mobile broadband data access

* Advantages of fixed and mobile wireless broadband High-speed wireless transmission of data. What is "high" speed is always a changing number. Wireless systems are typically slower than land-based, wireline networks. In the past, wireless broadband started at 250 Kbps, whereas land-based broadband was generally considered to start at T1  data access

* Successful business models and applications for fixed wireless voice and broadband data

* Convergence of voice & data, land-line and wireless technology and WLAN/WWAN networking

* Axesstel's new USB modems, 3G gateways, fixed wireless phones and product roadmap
