Axesstel Announces First Commercial Shipments of GSM Fixed Wireless Phones to Telefonica Moviles Guatemala; Axesstel Expands Addressable Market with Entree into GSM.

:AFT), a leader in the design and development of fixed wireless voice and broadband data products, today announced it has received a purchase order from Telefonica Moviles Guatemala, the largest wireless service provider in Guatemala, for its PG210 GSM Fixed Wireless Desktop Phone. Telefonica Moviles Guatemala will offer the phones in conjunction with a nationwide expansion of its Global System for Mobile (GSM) network to make quality, affordable voice services available to consumers in urban and rural areas throughout Guatemala. Axesstel has begun first commercial shipments of the PG210 to Telefonica Moviles Guatemala and the phones are scheduled to be available in Telefonica Moviles retail stores and through its broad network of authorized resellers in Guatemala by the end of June.

Telefonica Moviles Guatemala is a subsidiary of Telefonica Moviles which operates all of Group Telefonica's wireless assets. Telefonica Group has a total subscriber base of more than 180 million (over 100 million are cellular) and has network coverage in 19 countries, 13 of which are in Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . Telefonica Moviles Guatemala operates under the Movistar brand name, currently has over 1.2 million subscribers and is in the process of expanding its GSM network coverage to raise service capacity nationwide in Guatemala.

The Axesstel PG210 is a dual band (850/1900 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second.
