Axel Holtrup Joins Silver Lake Partners as a Director; Premiere Technology Private Equity Firm Expands Team in Europe.

LONDON & MENLO PARK, Calif. -- Silver Lake Partners, the leading private equity firm focused exclusively on large-scale investing in mature technology companies, announced today that Axel Holtrup has joined Silver Lake as a Director.

Holtrup is based in Silver Lake's London office and has a full range of investment responsibilities working alongside Managing Director Egon Durban to build Silver Lake's presence in Europe.

Prior to joining Silver Lake Partners, Holtrup served for more than eight years in the Private Equity group at Investcorp. In that capacity, he played a leading role in executing numerous transactions across Europe, including complex corporate carve-outs and public-to-private transactions. Prior to joining Investcorp in 1997, Holtrup was as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley in London and Frankfurt in the Mergers & Acquisitions group.

Holtrup earned a degree from the European Partnership of Business Schools, where he achieved first class honors in European Business Administration.
