Axcelis Appoints New V.P. of Tax and V.P. of Treasury; Robert J. McDonough and Paul R. McKelvey Hired to Complete Axcelis Financial Team.

Axcelis Technologies, Inc., (NASDAQ: ACLS), appointed Robert J. McDonough to the position of vice president of tax and Paul R. McKelvey to vice president of treasury. Both will report directly to Axcelis' Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Neil Moses.

Most recently, Mr. McDonough was vice president of tax at Getronics NV (formerly Wang Global Corp.), an information and communication technology enterprise, with operations in 130 countries and annual revenue of $5 billion. Prior to Getronics NV, he was the Manager of Taxes at Haemonetics Corporation, a global blood processing systems firm with annual revenue of $300 million. Mr. McDonough also held various high-level management positions at Computervision Corporation, a computer systems firm with annual revenue of $1.6 billion. Mr. McDonough holds an L.L.M. degree in Taxation from Boston University School of Law, a J.D. from Boston College School of Law and a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College, where he graduated cum laude.

Mr. McKelvey was the director of corporate treasury at EMC Corporation, a global high-tech computer data storage company with annual revenue of $2.8 billion. Mr. McKelvey was also the assistant treasurer of corporate finance at Duracell International, Inc., a global consumer products company with annual revenue of $2.5 billion and total assets of $2.3 billion. Previously he had 11 years of experience at United Technologies. Mr. McKelvey holds an M.B.A. degree in Finance from Connecticut University and a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University, where he graduated cum laude. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
