Dr. Chin's extensive manufacturing experience in photonics most recently includes Boston Laser, where as a member of the executive team Dr. Chin successfully led the effort to telco qualify high power pump lasers for fiber amplifiers. Prior to this, Dr. Chin was Director of Opto-electronics at Polaroid, and managed the Laser Processing Group at AT&T Bell Labs. Dr. Chin holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Cornell University Cornell University, mainly at Ithaca, N.Y.; with land-grant, state, and private support; coeducational; chartered 1865, opened 1868.
