Axalto and ChamberSign France to Secure French Companies' Online Administrative Procedures.

PARIS -- Several Thousand Companies Have Already Acquired This Security Solution for Online Information Exchanges, with a Potential User Base of 2 Million Companies

Axalto (EURONEXT:AXL)(EURONEXT:NL0000400653), the world's leader in microprocessor cards, and ChamberSign France, the certification authority for French Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI), have announced a partnership aimed at providing an e-services solution secured by Axalto smart cards. Under this agreement, Axalto is ChamberSign France's sole supplier, while LD Systemes is responsible for smart card integration and customization. Several thousand French companies have already acquired this solution, and in the long term the two million companies registered with the Register of Commerce and Companies could be concerned.

The solution proposed by Axalto and ChamberSign offers companies - especially small and medium-sized ones - a practical, secure option for performing most of their online administrative procedures: management of their tax accounts, declarations to URSSAF (French social security offices), response to invitations to tender for government contracts and even invoice transmission. Other online applications, such as remote systems for VAT and vehicle logbook processing, are also accessible, thanks to electronic identity certificates recorded on the company smart card. For the user, this represents a considerable time saving, which is accompanied by significant cost reductions in terms of management of paper documents.

Axalto's e-gate solution enables companies to store their digital identity certificates easily, secure exchanges with their addressees and sign electronic documents. This digital signature has exactly the same legal validity as a handwritten signature. Approved by ChamberSign on transmission, it provides sender certification and guarantees document integrity.
