Awful truth. (On Board).LOS-ANGELES--Pop singer Avril Lavigne's hit single "Sk8er Boi" is heading to the big screen. Paramount Pictures has optioned the song and hired ER writer/producer David Zabel to adapt its words into a feature to be produced by studio-based MTV MTV in full Music Television U.S. cable television network, established in 1980 to present videos of musicians and singers performing new rock music. MTV won a wide following among rock-music fans worldwide and greatly affected the popular-music business. Films and Alphaville. The song, which captures the divide between cliques and cultures, is about a teenage girl who rejects a skater boy with a crush on her because her friends don't approve of him--even though she secretly likes him. Years later, he becomes a famous rock star and she is left with regrets. Because the song has become an anthem anthem [ultimately from antiphon], short nonliturgical choral composition used in Protestant services, usually accompanied and having an English text. The term is used in a broader sense for "national anthems" and for the Latin motets still used occasionally in for teenagers, the film will be true to spirit of the song.
