Awesome Cyber Cards Introduces Truly Emailable Greeting Cards over the WWW

MINNEAPOLIS/ST.PAUL, Minn., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Awesome Cyber Cards, the international provider of "cyber" greeting cards over the World Wide Web, today announced its truly emailable greeting card product line, Email Express. Email Express Greeting Cards can be sent directly to the email in-box of friends, relatives, or business associates.

"Web surfers have long wanted the ability to easily slip a greeting card -- words, pictures and all -- into an email message," said Marjory Williams, founder and CEO. "Previously, the technology was not in place to make this vision a practical reality. Awesome Cyber Cards' Email Express Greeting Cards engage new software capabilities made available by Navigator 3.0, Netscape's newest WWW browser. Now a WWW surfer can quickly and easily customize a card online and then send it directly via email. The recipient then opens the card like any other email message and sees the card in living color."

All of the cards on the new Awesome Halloween site at http://www.marlo.com/hallowee.htm offer both the Email Express service and SendOut, an email announcement service.

"Starting with Halloween and moving through Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years, all of our holiday card collections will include the Email Express option," said Williams. "We will also be gradually phasing in this option to other card collections, such as our popular All Occasion card (http://www.marlo.com/occasion.htm) and birthday card (http://www.marlo.com/birthday.htm) collections."

To the best of Awesome Cyber Card's knowledge, Navigator 3.0 provides the only software on an open platform that allows Web surfers to easily and seamlessly capture HTML coded WWW pages, including graphics, in an email message.

Because both the sender and the recipient of the card, therefore, currently must have Netscape Navigator 3.0 to use the Email Express service, Awesome Cyber Cards continues to offer its SendOut Announcement service. With the SendOut Announcement service, a WWW surfer fills in a brief form to personalize and create a card and then the card is immediately posted on the WWW and an email announcement is automatically sent to the recipient.
