Awdry's city links; YourSay.

I READ in the Mail that Rev. Awdry, creator of The Railway Series (which Thomas the Tank Engine is based on), was once Curate CURATE, eccl. law. One who represents the incumbent of a church, person, or20 vicar, and takes care of the church, and performs divine service in his stead.  of St. Nicholas Church in Kings Norton See also: King's Norton, Leicestershire  (between 1940-1946 I believe). I was curious as to where abouts he lived during this time, and if there is any kind of recognition of the connection in the area. I have lived in Kings Norton for several years now and this is the first time I have encountered this fact - do any readers have any further information? Tim Thomson, Kings Norton
