Awards.Congratulations to Gwen Moritz, Arkansas Business' editor, on earning two awards from the Alliance of Area Business Publications. Moritz won a gold award for "Best Scoop" among large tabloids for her March 2008 reporting on the disappearance of John Glasgow, former chief financial officer of CDI CDI compact disc interactive: a system for storing a mix of software, data, audio, and compressed video for interactive use under processor control Contractors LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol. LLC - Logical Link Control of Little Rock. Moritz also earned another gold award for "Online Best Scoop" for breaking news that Hewlett-Packard would open a 1,200-employee facility in Conway. Moritz shared that award with Assistant Editor Mark Hengel, better known as "Outtakes." The Green Guide, published by Arkansas Business Publishing Group, also took home an award. Arkansas Business' sister publication, the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, was also commended, earning a silver award for best overall design for small tabloids. Earning kudos from the judges for "close attention to packaging" and the Journal's 40 Under 40 spread were Worth Sparkman, editor, Ronie Sparkman, associate publisher and creative director, and Tina Tisbe, editorial art director. |
