Awards at the double for Memphis.DARLINGTON'S Lingfield Point business park has landed two major property awards for its groundbreaking Memphis building. Memphis, which has been created from wool factory buildings originally constructed in the 1950s and is now occupied by the Student Loans Company, was named as the best commercial property development at the Royal Chartered Institute of Surveyors' (RICS RICS Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors RICS Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors RICS Right Intercostal Space (medicine) RICS Return Inventory and Classification System RICS Range Instrumentation Control System ) North East Renaissance Awards. Memphis joins such prestigious previous winners in the category as Fort Dunlop Fort Dunlop (grid reference SP129902), is the common name of the original tyre factory and head office of Dunlop Tyres in the Erdington district of Birmingham, England. It was established in 1917 and by 1954, the entire factory area employed 10,000 workers. in Birmingham and aircraft hanger-turned-business premises Skyways House in Liverpool.
