Awards announced for student art show.


SOUTHBRIDGE - Hundreds attended the public reception Oct. 7 for the student art exhibit of L'atelier de christine at the Quinebaug Valley Council for the Arts and Humanities Arts Center, 111 Main St.

The exhibit is presented by local artist and instructor Christine O'Brien, who has operated L'atelier de Christine since 1971.

"Elements of Perspective and Much More" contains about 150 art works, in all of the drawing and painting media, done by Ms. O'Brien's students, who range in age from 5to 87.

Students hailed from a number of towns in the region, including Southbridge, Sturbridge, Charlton, Oxford, Spencer, Holland, East Brookfield East Brookfield is the name of the following places in the United States:
  • East Brookfield (CDP), Massachusetts
  • East Brookfield (town), Massachusetts
, Brimfield, Webster Webster, town (1990 pop. 16,196), Worcester co., S Mass., near the Conn. line; settled c.1713, set off from Dudley and Oxford and inc. 1832. The chief manufactures are footwear, fabrics, and textiles. , Dudley, Thompson and Woodstock.

Awards were presented to the following students:

Michael Fontaine of Charlton, Best of Show (adult); Mei Lee Amend of Charlton, Best of Show (youth); Claire Goulet of Sturbridge, Painting Award (adult); Alexandria Rivera of Dudley, Painting Award (youth); Erin Power of Sturbridge, Drawing Award (adult); Kyle Petinelli of Southbridge, Drawing Award (youth); and Julie Caprera of Southbridge, Creativity Award (adult).

Also, Amanda Richards of Southbridge, Creativity Award (adult); Suzanne Bouvier Bouvier refers to several things:

He was the son of a cutler, and at the age of twenty-two was made a master in the Collège du Plessis.
