Award-Winning Writer-Director Dror Soref Joins Big Screen Entertainment Group Board of Directors.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Big Screen Entertainment Group (OTC:BSEG) announced today that award-winning writer-director Dror Soref has joined the company's board of directors.

Credited with helping establish rock parodist "Weird Al" Yankovic as a major star with a music video as his first directing assignment, Soref also produced and directed "Platinum Blonde," a thought-provoking short film sponsored by several leading charities. The film tells an inspiring story of two teenagers overcoming parental neglect.

"Platinum Blonde" landed Soref a deal at Paramount where, with the help of the studio, he wrote and directed "The Seventh Coin" starring Peter O'Toole and John Rhys-Davis, winning two festival awards including Best Picture. At Paramount Studios, Soref founded Orbit Entertainment Group and served as its CEO-director for more than ten years. Soref has directed or executive produced more than one hundred TV commercials for a who's who client list of international advertisers, leading Orbit to become one of the fastest growing commercial production companies of the '90s. The directorial roster at Orbit included, in addition to Soref, such acclaimed directors as Wim Wenders, Carroll Ballard and Bruce Beresford.

Under Orbit's umbrella, Soref signed a five-picture alliance with Mike Medavoy's Phoenix Pictures calling for Soref to produce all five and direct one. The first picture was "Basic," starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, and released by Columbia Pictures.

Plans are underway on moving Dror into a managerial/officer position in the coming weeks to further facilitate our restructuring of the company."

Soref attended the University of Haifa, Israel, and graduated cum laude with a degree in economics. While a student, he wrote frequently on Israeli-Palestinian relations. Soref served in the Israeli Defense Force as a combat officer in the elite Golani Brigade. The unit under his command was cited for excellence and saw action in the Yom Kippur War. After the war, Soref resumed his political activities and, at the age of 23, was nominated by his party to run for parliament. Soref later immigrated to the United States to attend the prestigious cinema school of the University of Southern California.
