Award-Winning Sound Editor Larry Kemp to Join Walt Disney Studios Post Production Services Sound.


BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--March 23, 1999--Award-winning sound editor Larry Kemp will be joining Walt Disney Studios The name Walt Disney Studios may refer to:
  • The Walt Disney Company, especially its Studio Entertainment unit, which includes Disney's motion picture studios, music labels, theatrical production company, and distribution companies.
 Post Production Services Sound as supervising sound editor at The Walt Disney Studios, it was announced Tuesday by Chris Carey, vice president of post-production services for The Walt Disney Studios.

Kemp won the Golden Reel Award for his work as supervising sound editor on Disney's 1996 animated hit "The Hunchback hunchback, abnormal outward curvature of the spine in the thoracic region. It is also known as kyphosis and humpback, and in its severe form a noticeable hump is evident on the back.  of Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. A native of New Jersey, Kemp attended UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles

UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX
 where he received his bachelor of arts degree in film production. From there, his craft took him all over the world. After starting out with documentaries in Los Angeles, he moved to Israel, where he worked for Noah Films for two years.

Returning briefly to Los Angeles, he was soon back on the move, ending up in Zimbabwe where he directed, produced and edited films for the government for five years.

Within a year of his return to Los Angeles, Kemp won an Emmy Award for sound, and he's been working in sound ever since. Prior to joining The Walt Disney Studios, he had been with Soundelux since 1987.
