"Racing Stripes" is the tale of a baby zebra named Stripes (voiced by Frankie Muniz), who is raised by horse trainer Nolan Walsh (Bruce Greenwood) and his young daughter Channing (Hayden Panettiere) on their Kentucky farm. Stripes becomes part of an eclectic barnyard family, led by grumpy Shetland pony Shetland pony, smallest breed of horse, originating in the Shetland Islands some 200 mi (322 km) N of Scotland. The Shetland resembles a miniature draft horse and has long been used for working purposes.  Tucker (voiced by Dustin Hoffman) and Franny (voiced by Whoopi Goldberg), a sharp-tongued but loving nanny goat. Stripes and Channing both dream of racing in the prestigious Kentucky Open -- Stripes knows that if he can just get onto the track, he will leave all the other horses in the dust. What he doesn't know is...he's not exactly a horse. Stripes makes some friends down at the track as well, most notably the manic horsefly horsefly, common name for the large hairy flies of the family Tabanidae. Male horseflies feed on pollen and nectar, but the females suck blood as well and are common pests of animals and sometimes of humans. The bites of many species are very painful.  duo Buzz (voiced by Steve Harvey) and Scuzz This article is about the television channel. For the Marvel Comics character, see Scuzz (comics).
