Award nominations sought.



Nominations are sought by May 15 for Fusion Power Fusion power refers to power generated by nuclear fusion reactions. In this kind of reaction, two light atomic nuclei fuse together to form a heavier nucleus and release energy.  Associates Leadership and Distinguished Career Awards. No supporting material is required for these nominations. The criteria and list of previous award winners are posted at http://fusionpower.org and click on Awards.

Nominations are also sought by June 15 for Fusion Power Associates Excellence in Fusion Engineering Award. Nominating material should include the candidates bio and letters of recommendation, including at least one letter from outside the nominee's home institution. This Award has been given annually since 1987 in memory of MIT MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology  professor David J. Rose. The purpose is to recognize individuals in the early part of their careers (maximum age 42) with both technical accomplishment and demonstrated leadership qualities. Nominating material should preferably pref·er·a·ble  
adj.
More desirable or worthy than another; preferred: Coffee is preferable to tea, I think.
