Award group members create track in woods.


YOUNG people have built a path in a wood.

They constructed a tarmac track through Little Deer Wood in Mirfield.

 Award group included young people with learning and mobility disabilities.

Denise Bedford, who led the group, said: "It took about three months to build the path but it's made an amazing a·maze

The work was funded by mobile phone company O2, which presented a pounds 600 cheque towards the work.

The group of young people aged 14 to 25 have also been learning about the environment.

Denise said: "We planted rhubarb rhubarb: see buckwheat.
