Award for garden centre.


A GARDEN centre has been recognised for employing people with learning disabilities.

Huddersfield Job Centre presented Colne Valley The Colne Valley is a steep sided valley on the east flank of the Pennine Hills in the English county of West Yorkshire. It takes its name from the River Colne which rises above the town of Marsden and flows eastward along the floor of the valley.  Garden Centre with a certificate.

The centre employs two people who were referred from Mencap.

Judith Lockwood and Helen Dyson of Huddersfield Job Centre presented the certificate to Catering manager Louise Donnelly, garden centre manager Paddy Walsh Paddy Walsh was an Irish soccer player during the 1930s and 1940s in the League of Ireland.

Walsh was a left winger who played for Bohemians between 1938 and 1946, taking a couple of years off in between. He made 93 appearances for Bohs in all competitions and scored 29 goals.
