Byline: DAVID LOCKWOOD David Lockwood (The Blackcoated Worker, 1958 & 1989) sought to analyse the changes in the stratification position of the clerical worker by using a framework based on Max Weber's distinction between market and work situations.  

HUDDERSFIELD cricketer Richard Horner has been recognised on the national stage for his outstanding services to the game.

The Broad Oak club president was presented with a certificate by former England legend and Sky TV presenter Ian Botham at Chester-le-Street, County Durham.

Over 100 coaches throughout the country are being acknowledged by the programme's 'Reward and Recognition' scheme which comprises on-pitch presentations by various cricketing legends.

For the last five years, Horner has been head coach of the Leeds/Bradford UCCE UCCE University of California Cooperative Extension
UCCE Unified Contact Center Enterprise
 team, during which time he has had a massive impact on the cricketers included in the University squad, who have beaten several first class county sides, and reached the UCCE final at Lords last year.

As well as playing for both the first and second teams, he has also coached for many years at Broad Oak, helping with the progress of players like Charlie Roebuck and Jack Hargreaves, who are now in the Yorkshire set-up, and remains a key figure as a centre director in the YCB YCB Ypsilanti Community Band (Ypsilanti, MI)
