The act of seizing and carrying off by force; abduction. 3. has been given a prestigious award for being safe and secure. The Civic Trust gave East Park in Southampton a Green Flag after it was judged to be welcoming and safe. A flag has now been erected close to where a woman of 23 was raped last week. Another victim of 29 was attacked last year. Police have urged women not to walk alone in the area. But Southampton council said: "The incidents highlight the importance of ensuring visitors enjoy our parks safely." |
