Avvio Networks Announces a 640 km DWDM Laser for the A1010 Optical Transponder and New A1070 EDFA.

Avvio Networks today announced a 640km DWDM (Dense WDM) The term given to wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) when significantly more channels were being added. Since WDM is increasingly more "dense" all the time, both terms are used synonymously. See WDM.

Ready-to-run right out of the box, the A1010 and A1070 simplify and speed network installation. They each occupy a single rack unit (1.75") in a 19" chassis. The A1010 and A1070 can be used in conjunction with Avvio Networks' A15XX passive OADM for a complete end-to-end solution.
