Richard French brings a range of leadership experience in internet media, business to consumer ecommerce, online community development, and enterprise software and services to his new role. His proven track record includes serving as general manager of OSDN (now OSTG), Inc. a subsidiary of VA Software, and senior vice president of VA Software. At OSDN, he brought together multiple disparate Internet properties, including such notables as Slashdot, Sourceforge.net and Thinkgeek, into a cohesive whole with the result that it became the de facto network for open source news and downloads. Under his leadership, OSDN became one of the top ten Internet media sources for technology news, community collaboration and shopping with 220M page views by 15M unique visitors per month. In the process, Richard French turned OSDN into a sustainable profitable business in three years, while doubling revenue.

Prior to that, Richard French spent four years at Oracle in various VP positions, including VP of the enterprise platform division. In this role, Richard French lead the 200 employee enterprise platform division with revenues of $2B where he improved margins while slashing delivery times and increasing quality.
