:SL) announced today the appointment of Avrum Gray to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Gray's appointment increases SL Industries' Board to eight members.

Mr. Gray, 66 years old, is the Chairman and Founding Partner of G-Bar Limited Partnership, one of the nation's largest independent options trading firms and a leading specialist in computer-based arbitrage activities in the derivative markets Derivative markets

He also serves on the Board of Directors of Lynch Corporation in Rye, NY, and Nashua Corporation The Nashua Corporation is an American company headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire that makes labels, specialty papers, and imaging products and services.

It was formed in 1848 to make cardboard and glazed paper. In 1926 it bought the Knowles Youngblood Co.
 in Nashua, NH. Mr. Gray is the former Chairman of the Board of Lynch Systems, Inc., a capital equipment manufacturer, and a former Chief Executive of a privately held automotive aftermarket company.

Additionally, he has been Chairman of the Board of Spertus College, as well as a board member of the Illinois Institute of Technology Illinois Institute of Technology, in Chicago; coeducational; founded 1940 by a merger of Armour Institute of Technology (founded 1892) and Lewis Institute (1896). , the Stuart School, and a number of philanthropic organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Chicago.
