Avotus debuts call reporting system for trading turrets at SIA.

Avotus(R) Corporation of Toronto and Boston announced a call reporting system for trading turrets that collects, consolidates and reports call activity here, today, at the Securities Industry Association trade show. The Avotus turret reporting system collects data from major turret system suppliers, including BT Syntegra and IPC. Avotus bridges its turret ringdown reporting system with its other Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) and Usage Management capabilities to enable financial institutions to create departmental, business unit and individual-level reports that show consolidated call activity for every communications technology, including wired, wireless and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Avotus collects turret system trader, time of call, duration and number information from an application server on the turret system for both inbound and outbound calls. As an integral component of Avotus' Intelligent Communications Management(TM) (ICM) solution, the collected turret data can be integrated with information that Avotus already collects from a trader's standard office and wireless communications. By combining turret circuit activity data with its TEM and Usage Management components, Avotus is able to mainstream the turret data into its overall management control application and feed the information to enterprise-level accounting, cost allocation and auditing systems.

Avotus ICM also makes standardized and ad hoc reports available through a Web interface which enables authorized personnel to quickly access and examine call activity at any level, including at the individual trader level.
