The Chandler Chamber of Commerce selected Avnet for this award based on its positive impact on the Chandler business community and the planned opening of Avnet's newest Chandler facility. Avnet broke ground on a 228,000-square foot integration and logistics facility in April 2007, which will be located at the Chandler Freeways Business Park. The new facility will house a state-of-the-art integration center capable of building and shipping approximately 700,000 systems annually, in addition to a new warehouse. Avnet's new Chandler facility will roughly double the company's integration capabilities in the Americas, supporting continued growth in the region. It is scheduled to open in mid-2008.
