Avnet Enterprise Solutions Bolsters IP Telephony Solutions in the Education Market with Cistera Networks.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Avnet Enterprise Solutions, a division of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT) that specializes in network lifecycle management solutions, announced today that it signed a reseller agreement with CNH Holdings Co. dba Cistera Networks (OTCBB: CNHC), a leading platform provider for advanced IP phone applications.

The alliance with Cistera Networks further strengthens Avnet Enterprise Solutions' capabilities to provide full network lifecycle solutions in the dominant IP communications market, particularly education and municipalities, by providing XML-based application appliances to facilitate the convergence of voice, video and data utilized in Cisco IP communications environments. Avnet Enterprise Solutions now offers the Cistera Convergence Server(TM), which enables companies to share data across a wide variety of disparate applications.

Cistera Networks recently participated in a series of seminars in Texas, Louisiana and Arizona sponsored by Avnet Enterprise Solutions, targeting IP telephony customers in the education and municipal government vertical markets.

Demand for seats at the seminars was high, with well over 200 participants from Independent School Districts (ISDs) and municipalities attending. The seminars focused on how IP telephony and IP telephony applications can reduce operating costs and increase productivity, as well as an overall update on the changes in E-Rate Funding requirements. Avnet is a leader in advanced technology sales to the education market and has participated in the E-Rate program since its inception. E-Rate funding is a federal program that provides eligible K-12 public schools and libraries 20 to 90% discounts on approved telecommunication, Internet access and internal connection costs.
