Megling will coordinate the product business groups' involvement in Electronics Marketing initiatives. Those initiatives include the creation of next-generation demand planning tools, the development and deployment of customer relationship management processes, and the development of collaboration strategies and process improvements with Avnet's suppliers.

Megling reports directly to Harley Feldberg, president of the EM product business groups.

Moore will develop and execute strategies to attract and retain customers. He will also play a pivotal role in linking sales, the product business groups and the Avnet EM brands (Avnet Design Services, Avnet Marshall, Integrated Material Services). Moore reports directly to Phil Gallagher, executive vice president of sales and customer service, Avnet EM.

In prefacing the new roles, Gallagher explained, "The fundamentals that drove Avnet's business for many years are changing very rapidly. We need to ensure that many of the roadblocks we are diligently dil·i·gent

Feldberg added, "Our new structure requires open and honest collaboration among the interlinked Avnet departments. By tasking Moore and Megling with challenging our historical beliefs and processes and leading the exploration of new alternatives, they will play an intrinsic role in the success of Avnet's future."

Megling joined Avnet in 1999 with the acquisition of Marshall Industries, where she served for 24 years, most recently as vice president of global marketing and communications. Her extensive industry and international experience includes Internet development and semiconductor product management. Prior to her promotion, Megling managed Avnet EM's semiconductor supplier business management program.

Moore, a 22-year Avnet veteran, was previously the vice president/director of the emerging account channel for Avnet EM. He has held various positions within the company including director of sales, area director, director of marketing, regional director, area manager and field salesman. As part of his impressive accomplishments, Moore has been credited with the success of Avnet's emerging accounts team.
