PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing, Americas, the largest operating group of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Tundra Semiconductor Corp. (TSX: TUN) to promote, supply and support Tundra System Interconnect products throughout North America. The new relationship addresses the growing demand from key communications, networking, storage and information technology leaders for Tundra System Interconnect products.

Avnet will add its breadth of industry knowledge, extensive customer relationships and strong regional coverage to Tundra's current sales network in the region. Tundra System Interconnect products are a complementary fit with Avnet's product line portfolio and broad customer base with opportunities in high-growth markets for all products, including industry-leading RapidIO and PowerPC interconnect devices.
