Broadcast Solutions - 1.210

Broadcast customers will benefit from Avid's experience and product capabilities in all-digital broadcast media production, which now includes a wider and more complete end-to-end workflow with Pinnacle's former broadcast solutions. Each of the four stages on this stand will focus on a specific broadcast area: News, Post, Graphics, and Playout. Systems on display include Avid NewsCutter(R) Adrenaline(TM), Deko(TM), and MediaStream(TM). There will also be several Avid iNEWS(TM) Instinct(TM) editing systems available for hands-on testing, and Avid's Broadcast team will be available throughout the show to advise customers and answer questions.

Editing Solutions - 7.830

Avid will present demonstrations of a variety of editing and finishing solutions, showcasing work created by Avid customers, including feature films, documentaries, and pop promos. The demonstrations will feature Avid Media Composer(R) Adrenaline HD, Avid Xpress(R) Studio HD, and Avid Xpress Pro HD systems, and visitors will have the opportunity to test Avid Xpress Studio, Liquid(TM), and Avid Xpress Pro (on PC and Mac platforms) in the hands-on area.

Visitors can see how Avid DNxHD(TM) technology can drastically reduce HD bandwidth and storage needs while preserving the high quality of precious HD footage during postproduction. Visitors are invited to take the HD challenge to see if they can spot the difference between uncompressed HD material compared with the same footage encoded using the Avid DNxHD codec Avid DNxHD is a high-definition video post-production codec engineered for multi-generation compositing with reduced storage and bandwidth requirements. The Training Zone

Avid is taking part in IBC's Training Zone, hosting hands-on workshop sessions to help visitors expand their skill sets.
