Avid Appoints Paul Milbury As New CFO.

TEWKSBURY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2000

Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID) today announced that Paul Milbury has joined the company as its chief financial officer (CFO), reporting to the company's President and Chief Executive Officer, David Krall. Milbury will lead the development and implementation of Avid's financial strategy, including managing its capital structure, supervising its financial compliance and establishing long-term, productive relationships with the financial community.

Milbury joins Avid from iBelong.com, Inc. of Waltham, MA, where he was the company's CFO for the past year. As CFO, Milbury oversaw iBelong's financial activities, which included a series of significant capital transactions, and development and implementation of the company's initial operating plan.

Prior to iBelong.com, Milbury was with Juniornet Corporation of Boston, MA, where he was CFO and chief operating officer. Prior to that, Milbury spent 19 years at Digital Equipment Corporation (now Compaq Computer Corporation), where in 1995 he became vice president and treasurer. In this capacity, Milbury directed and managed Digital's treasury, tax, and risk management areas. Milbury received both MBA and BA degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
