: AVID), announced today that Paul R. Basson, vice president of worldwide field operations, has resigned from the company for family health reasons.

Basson, who had been with Avid since 1990, will return to his home in Europe after serving his last day with the company on Feb. 10. Basson will continue to act as a consultant to Avid for a six-month period.

"Paul Basson was a charter member of Avid's European team, and was instrumental in building Avid's European sales from zero in 1990 to more than $40 million in the first three quarters of 1994," said Avid's president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
