Avexus Inc. Names Michael Grad Vice President Worldwide Sales.

 as vice president, worldwide sales, it was announced today by Doug McGregor, president and chief operating officer.

Grad has spent the past 22 years in the software industry, most recently as the vice president of sales and marketing for a B2B technology start-up. Michael made his mark in the software industry when he joined Interactive Group in 1990, ultimately becoming vice president of sales. Michael was instrumental in growing Interactive Group from $6 million in revenue to nearly $60M during his tenure. Upon Interactive's merger with DataWorks (DataWorks Corporation, San Diego, CA) A software company founded in 1977 that specialized in integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The company developed, implemented and supported open systems and client/server-based software for midrange manufacturing companies primarily in the high tech sector. In 1998, DataWorks merged with Platinum Software Corporation, Irvine, CA, and a year later, Platinum changed its name to Epicor Software Corporation (www.epicor.com). Corp. in 1997, Michael was promoted to the position of Vice President of Sales of the newly merged company's largest division and remained in that role as DataWorks and Platinum Software later merged into a $300M company at the end of 1998.

Before joining Avexus, Grad was vice president of sales for an e-Commerce application service provider. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Franklin and Marshall College Franklin and Marshall College, at Lancaster, Pa.; United Church of Christ (Evangelical-Reformed); coeducational; est. 1787 as Franklin College, reorganized 1853 when it merged with Marshall College (chartered 1836)., and is based in Avexus' San Diego office.
