Avery Dennison RFID introduces training tool.

Avery Dennison RFID, a business unit of Avery Dennison Corporation, has produced a multimedia training tool: RFID 101. The tool combines a live narrator with animations, photos and video to walk the viewer through the history of RFID, technology basics, applications and markets, system components, RFID label converting, tag testing, and quality. Each major topic is a separate module, allowing viewers to watch the presentation from start to finish (about 55 minutes) or to customize the presentation by watching select modules based on their own experience or schedule.

Content for RFID 101 was developed by the technical team based at Avery Dennison RFID's Atlanta Technical Center (ATC). Much of the content was inspired by Avery Dennison's work with end users and other RFID stakeholders who have visited ATC over the last couple of years for free product testing and other technical services and training.

"We produced RFID 101 to help folks get up to speed quickly on RFID without spending a lot of money," says George Reynolds, vice president of sales and marketing at Avery Dennison RFID. "We understand RFID is a complex subject and this presentation covers all the basics. RFID 101 can be passed around the office, viewed by a group or sent by a converter or systems integrator to a customer."
