Avery Dennison Names Richard Hoffman Senior Vice President and CIO.

: AVY) today announced the appointment of Richard W. Hoffman Richard William Hoffman (December 23, 1893 - July 6, 1975) was a U.S. Representative from Illinois.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, HoffmanVeteran of the First World War. He engaged in the printing and publishing business. He owned and operated radio stations in Chicago, Illinois.
 to the position of senior vice president and chief information officer, effective October 1, 2008.

Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Hoffman served as president and chief executive officer for Hyundai Information Services See Information Systems.  North America (HISNA), a stand-alone shared services company owned by Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motor America. Prior to HISNA, he worked at Dole Food Company Dole Food Company, Inc. is an American-based agricultural multinational corporation headquartered in Westlake Village, California and is the leading grower and packer of such food items as bananas, pineapples (fresh and packaged), grapes, strawberries, and other fresh and frozen , Cummins, Inc., Yamaha Motor Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation and Embassy Communications.

Hoffman earned his B.S., Business Administration in Finance and Management Science, from California State University Enrollment
 Northridge, California.
