Karatz, 56, is chairman, president and chief executive officer of KB Home (NYSE:KBH). Based in Los Angeles, KB Home is one of America's largest homebuilders. In addition, a majority-owned subsidiary of KB Home is one of the largest homebuilders in France and the company operates a full-service mortgage company.
