Averion Inc. announced today the appointment of Randy Bennett Randy Bennett is the head men's basketball coach at Saint Mary's College of California.

 as Director of Late Phase Studies and Clinical Monitoring Clinical monitoring - Oversight and administrative efforts that monitor a participant's health during a clinical trial. The government and other clinical trial funding agencies require data and safety monitoring boards to oversee clinical trials. . In this role, Randy will direct the coordination and execution of late phase trial programs and all clinical monitoring projects.

Randy has 10 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical and healthcare service industries. Most recently, Randy directed the Phase IV study programs for two marketed products within the Medical Affairs group at Biogen Inc., in Cambridge, MA. He has also held other positions of increasing responsibility at Biogen including Manager, Systems and Reporting, Project Manager and Strategic Research Manager in the Clinical Research Division. Prior to joining Biogen, Randy held positions at Fresenius Medical Care Fresenius Medical Care is a German company specializing in the production of medical supplies, primarily to facilitate or aid renal dialysis. It is 37%-owned by the health care company Fresenius SE.  (FMC See fixed mobile convergence. ) in Lexington, MA, a provider of dialysis products and services, and at Olsten Healthcare in Stoneham, MA, a provider of home health nursing services.
