Average house price falls below pounds 200,000; IN ASSOCIATION WITH Rensburg Sheppards.


HOUSE prices fell by a record 8.6% during the year to the end of November, government figures showed.

UK homes lost a further 1.9% of their value, pushing their average price down to pounds 199,732 - the first time the figure has dipped below pounds 200,000 since November, 2006, according to according to

 said November's house price fall was driven by a steep 3.5% drop in the average cost of a terraced house, while the price of bungalows fell by 2.5% and semidetached homes lost 2.1% of their value.

Detached properties continued to hold their value better than other homes, with prices sliding by 1.2%, while the cost of flats actually edged ahead by 0.2%.
