Eddie Bauer's former executive vice president of global brand

direction joins leading digital marketing company's board

Avenue A, Inc. (Nasdaq:AVEA), a digital marketing services and technology company, announced today that Dr. Jack Sansolo has joined the company's board of directors.

Dr. Sansolo has more than 25 years of experience in online and traditional advertising, marketing and strategic planning.

From 1996 to 2001, Dr. Sansolo served as executive vice president of global brand direction for Eddie Bauer, Inc. His responsibilities included managing international brand marketing and licensing, marketing research, creative services, advertising, and interactive media. In addition, he oversaw Eddie Bauer's corporate social responsibility programs. Prior to Eddie Bauer, Dr. Sansolo founded Point A Consulting, a marketing, communications and advertising consultancy, that served major clients such as Gallo Winery, Hewlett Packard, Levi Strauss and numerous advertising agencies.

He also handled the agency's major accounts and business development efforts, culminating in significant client wins including Lotus Development Corporation, John Hancock Financial Services, Hyatt Hotel Corporation, Nissan Motor Corporation's Infiniti Division and Reebok International. Dr. Sansolo holds a Ph.D. in social psychology from Harvard University.
