Avega Systems Inc, a developer of integration-ready networked technologies for house-wide home entertainment, is launching the Aios Wi-Fi entertainment technology platform at CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA, on 8-11 January, 2009. The company's wireless music streaming is demonstrated at Intel Corporation's (Nasdaq:INTC) booth, as part of the demonstration of the Intel My WiFi platform.

According to the company, Avega Entertainment Center PC Software offers simple selection, control and streaming of music from the PC or other sources. Using Intel My WiFi Technology wireless 802.11abg networking in the absence of a conventional Wi-Fi router, the company's demonstration at CES showcases floor-standing Avega Wi-Fi-connected loudspeakers, with only an Intel My WiFi Technology connection to the PC.

The combination of Aios and Intel My WiFi Technology platform offers several benefits. In many cases, it lets a home take advantage of Wi-Fi music streaming without the need to install a router. As users add Intel Centrino 2 processor based laptops and Aios enabled players, speakers or other devices, they can easily establish multiple zones and then select which of multiple audio sources to play in which places.
